A Break From the Cows
SNACKS:
Even though I’m not much of a watermelon fan, I couldn’t resist the refreshing look and feel of eating cold chunks of watermelon.
Watermelon
There was a big pineapple that I’d planned on grilling for my parents this coming Sunday, but plans have changed, so I had it fresh tonight. It wasn’t as ripe, so it wasn’t as sour. Still it always feels great to have fresh fruit in my mouth.

DINNER:
I linked this cheese sauce from Jenna’s website. It looked soOo good on her tacos, that I told myself I had to try it. I’m so glad that I did tonight with the asparagus. Really creamy and thick. It actually tasted similar to nacho cheese. Amazing. The texture was a bit more runny and reminded me of hollandaise sauce, just without the animal derived food items. Normally I don’t eat much dairy. I try not to eat as much, but lately I’ve had a lot with the cheese from the pesto sauce the other day and the cheesecake from today. I feel a little guilty. Guilty not because of the fat content in dairy, but because it’s animal derived. I think it’s time to take a break from it for a while.
