Surrounded by Goodness
Chocolate Almond Fudge cliff bar, I ate the first half before going on my run and then had the rest ~30 minutes after. It’s actually starting to grow on me. Tastes sort of like a candy bar. My favorite part–the crunchy almonds! Seriously, if you haven’t tried cliff bars yet, TRY THEM! They’ve improved the flavor and texture soOo soOo much! I have a couple below for you to check out. (this one’s especially for Em, since I know she likes to experiment).
Went to Laney college today with my sis’ to check out what they had in the snack bar. I really didn’t expect to buy anything, but when I saw this, I was a little intrigued. It looks like a cinnamon roll, but it has savory toppings! I asked the lady behind the counter what was in them and It turns out they’re pizzas! After sweating all day, this was exactly what I needed. My energy was running low, I haven’t had lunch yet and for a buck fifty, I was down. The toppings were: olives, red peppers, cheddar cheese (but not too much
), artichoke (YUM!) all on top of a soft warm bread. They’ve somehow managed to concoct a sweet and savory pizza. Amazing.
On the way home, I bought a whole 6 basket case of fresh strawberries for 8 bucks!
I also snacked on those delicious muffins from yesterday.
Amy’s bean and cheese burrito. I topped it with tapatio sauce and the homemade queso sauce from a week ago. Soo good….all the cheesey goodness.
here’s how it looked like when I tore it a part. Doesn’t that look scrumptious?
These two cliff bar flavors are what I’m loving now. I included a pic of the back side of each. You can click on the image and zoom in to view the ingredients list and nutrition facts. (Em, you might like the chocolate chip peanut crunch).

$1.50! What a deal!
I love the chocolate almond fudge clif bar, but haven’t tried the other, I’ll need to! Is the bean and cheese amy’s burrito better than the bean and veggie one?

Haha thanks Leng! Wow, I can never take good pictures of the labels! That’s why I’m always writing it out! Anyways, I probably should get to trying those Cliff bars since EVERYONE raves about them…I guess I’m just nervous since I tried 2 of the Z bar flavors and didn’t care for them. And yes your burrito looks yummy…as does the muffin and pizza!
Happy Friday to you! Thanks for the Cliff bar info & the shout out!! : )

1.50 is a great deal for a meal! And those strawberries, you hit the motherload! Again, there are times I really wish I lived in California (I WAS born there), but for some reason, I love Columbia, Missouri.
I’ve never had a Cliff Bar, do you know if there are vegan varieties?

Jill:
I haven’t tried the bean and veggie one. Is that the one that you have now? I like how all her products are organic, though.
Em:
YES try them! I’m so addicted to them, it’s rediculous. haha. Initially when I took the pictures of the labels I didn’t think it’ll come out, but surprise it did. Now worries. Yesterday I was about to buy the Gnu Chocolate Brownie Bar, but read your review first! Glad I didn’t buy it because I don’t like cormeal like pieces. ack!
Jennifer:
What part of CA were you born? I was so excited about the strawberries, they’re so bright red.
I don’t think cliff bars make vegan ones. If they do I haven’t seen them yet.
On the ingredient label they state that they don’t source ingredients that contain, wheat, dairy, or gmo products, but the facility probably produces products that have dairy in them. I think that’s the only reason why they’re not vegan though. Too bad, all they would have to do is move locations to make it vegan.
