Lost of Food Pics!
Sorry guys I’ve been MIA for a couple of days. My brain has been occupied (seems like 24 hours a day). Well, I have to confess that there were a few snacks that I did not get to take photos of. I actually can’t remember any of them..well…maybe a few…let me think…Chobani, banana nut bread, coffee, …..that’s all that I can remember. A first, hopefully the only time, that there’s that many absent food photos. The weekend is here (well for me) and I have a bit of time to relax before I enter in chaos, again. I’ll see everyone on Sunday in the meantime here are my foodpics.

Breakfast:
Was different today. Miss Dottie was replaced by Shabazz.
I thought she was being nice and wanting to spend time with me, but all she really wanted was my hair tie. she takes them in her mouth, flings them around, carries it around the apartment like her baby, and hides them all in her “secret stash.” She looked so cute sitting there, but I didn’t give in. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to buy hair tie sets to find them missing.
I had 2 plums
left over Pad Thai. Mmmmm.
Papaya Salad
my daily sweet indulgence was pistachio ice cream with a sugar cone.
Dinner:
no veggies here
was too tired to cook. I pulled this out of the fridge and ate it with brown rice. They’re basically bean curd sheets layered on top of each other. SoO SoooOo Freakin’ good!

Snack:
banana nut bread
Homemade salted peanuts! YUM! I took a bunch of whole peanuts with shell, rinsed and soaked it for ~ 1 hour. stuck them in a saucepan filled with water (they float). Waited for the water to boil. Salted to taste. Put the lid on and simmered it for 2 1/2 hours. They’re done when they no longer float, but sink to the bottom/middle. Also Sooo Freakin’ good!
Pad Thai

Haha, so funny that Shabazz was Miss Dottie’s “stand-in” for the photograph ;0)

Your pictures are wonderful!
Is the Pad Thai homemade? If so, have you posted the recipe? Please?

lol My cats are the hair tie burglers too! They seem to only play with them in the middle of the night when I’m trying to sleep! Go figure! lol
Mmmm, boiled peanuts are the best! I love them! I add a ton of crushed red pepper to the water to make them spicy! I love spicy!
Everything you make looks so delicious!

I can’t believe you went to all that work for those homemade peanuts, that’s so impressive! I’ll bet they tasted better than any peanuts you could ever buy.
And I totally want to eat that pad thai.
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you get lots of relaxing done!

Hi Shebazz!
Mmmm, your pad Thai looks amazing!
We’re going to be making your eggrolls and vegan fried rice for dinner tonight. Untraditional 4th of July food I know, but I’ve been wanting to make these for so long and now I have time!
