2012!
I can’t believe it’s 2012! Even with that that I’m going back to blogging my eats! Well, sort of, I’m working on coming up with a brand new blog/website. TBA. For right now, I’m easing my way back into blogging. Also I’m one of those new years victims of new years resolutions as well.
I even came up with a long list of things I’d like to accomplish this year. I also came up with a Life List as well! Hey I’m not getting any younger!
Before I go into what I ate today, let’s recap how this new year has started off for me (since January 1st).
The bad:
- sprained my foot at work!
- went to a new year’s eve party and almost got arrested! I can’t go into details, but just know that it was a little scary!
- signed up for a race, but can’t run due to my foot injury
- emailing back and forth with my work’s HR department concerning worker’s compensation. Not fun!
The good:
- got to spend time with friends & family!
- celebrated our 3 year anniversary with my husband
- got lots of reading done for an important exam!
- started blogging again
Being forced to stay on my bum all week has really got me thinking how much I miss running/biking/hiking–even walking! yesterday, I tried to take the dogs out for a walk, but I walked so slow that an old man passed me up. LOL It was funny and sad at the same time. It’s amazing how much we take the simple things in life for granted!
With this new year, I hope to enjoy life much more and live with a little less restrictions. Life is short and it should be enjoyed!
I also found this cool iphone app that allows you to log your meals & workouts in. It’s called MyFitnessPal. It’s 1000X better than any other app or internet food logging program that I’ve used before. They have a lot more foods in their database, it’s simple, and the bar code scanner is AMAZING! If you have a particular food in your hand that has a bar code on it, you simply scan it to upload all of the nutritionals onto your food diary. Neat!
Here’s what it looks like!
Breakfast:
blueberries, cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and good ol’ black coffee.
Lunch:
Amy’s Organic Bean and Rice burrito with a sad side of a salad (I need to go grocery shopping!).
I received a card from Valerie today that put a smile on my face! I love the cover!
Bye for now!
