It’s My Burf-day!
I don’t feel like doin’ anything…. I just wanna lay in my bed….

Yep, that’s what I wanted to do all day. I think I deserve a day just to relax, since it IS MY BURF-DAY!
I contemplated on throwing a party, then thought about having a party bus to Las Vegas, then thought about just having a small gathering here in the evening. Then I thought about it some more and realized that all of those things were a lot of work! Plus, I’m getting too old for that kind of stuff….
So Yeah, Bruno Mar’s, The Lazy Song, was the perfect song for me today.
Plus, I love him!

I got to sleep in today. It was nice not having to wake up at the sound of an alarm. Shouldn’t life always be like this?
Breakfast:
Repeat of yesterday’s Oats in a mug. This time I added almonds instead, which added a nice crunch.

Snack:
Dried cranberries to keep my blood sugar goin’.

My lazy day didn’t go on for very long though–I had to get going on my ACSM Certified Personal Trainer studying in.
Lunch:
This salad was a conglomerate of different things. Greens, quinoa, tofurky deli slices, & ranch dressing.

Right after Lunch, I had to begin registration for my Spring Semester.
I thought it was going to be easy….
I ended up spending a little over 30 minutes (before my registration time) scratching my head while trying to find a class to fit into my schedule because my Foods & World Culture class was full.
I didn’t want to take any classes that would make me spend more than the total 2 years at SFSU, so I was on the hunt for classes that I actually needed verses what I wanted.
Luckily for me, there may have been a glitch in the system or something because I was able to enroll in Foods & World Culture.
Here’s a list of classes that I’m taking:
- Foodservice Systems Management-GWAR
- Management of Quality Food Purchasing & Production
- Hospitality Human Resource Management
- Foods & World Culture
- Sport & Exercise Psychology (for my Kinesiology Minor)
A total of 15 units! Yikes!
When registration was finally done, I took the doggies out for a nice long (& slow) walk.
I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve had to rush through each walk or dog park visit. Today it was nice to simply enjoy it. The scenery was not bad either.

Lulla did a little bit of exploring.

I walked past a laundry and boiler room. I think these bars were once used to hang clothes to dry.
I don’t think anyone uses them anymore, but they may make awesome pull up bars!

We reached the dog run. As usual, no dogs in it. I have no idea why.

Lulla couldn’t help, but smile with joy when she caught sight of the dog run.

Here they are Loomis (black lab) & Lulla (tan mix) sitting patiently to go inside.

We played a little bit of Pine Cone Bowling — their favorite game!

Whew! that was a long post full of dog photos! I’m going to post tonight’s dinner photos tomorrow morning. I’m going to take the rest of the evening to enjoy with my husband, who brought me flowers and chocolate. <3

What do you normally do on your birthday? Or what would you like to do?
Happy birthday Leng!!!
Relaxing sounds like the perfect way to celebrate. I used to hate my birthday and refused to do anything. Now I like to have dinner with family though. Sounds like a full class load! Love the dog photos as always.
Thanks Ashley!
A belated happy birthday to you!!!!
Oh, and those 15 units may seem like a lot, but they look like awesome classes so don’t sweat it.
Thanks! Yeah I’m lookin’ forward to the semester!
