Razzle Update, plus, BUNN STX & Food Review!!
Razzle update:
I hadn’t seen Razzle ever since he went to his foster parents, which is about 2 weeks. I can’t even express how excited I was to see him.
I was literally jumping up and down, clapping my hands and speaking in a squeaky voice. If someone had said I was acting like a five year old, it wouldn’t have been too far off.
The pic below is of him coming up to me to get his arm pitt rubbed (he loves it!). You can tell that he’s doing that signature Pitt Bull waggle. so cute!
I was VERY pleased to see all of the progress he has made. His foster parents really did a great job with him. He is super focused and really wants that toy bad. Here he is having to sit for his tug toy. It’s amazing he’s gone from knowing only his name to sit, stay, give, leave-it, even recall. Smart guy.
His first time at a dog park was on leash. This second time was his first time off leash. He did a wonderful job by sticking by his foster parents the entire time.
***A dog’s dream come true!***
So happy!
“ D i d y o u s a y t r e a t ! ? ”
Meeting other dogs.
LoOOoves to chew on his rope. Look! there’s Loomis!
Rope, rope, rrrrrRrrope
Loomis & Lulla playing (only with each other).
Time to go! Razzle is doing soOo well. He even sites to be leashed up! I’m sure he’ll make a wonderful pet for someone someday. Due to his mellow temperament, his foster parents are thinking about getting him certified to be a service dog. I am pretty sure he’ll pass it. He’s such a sweetheart.

***BUNN STX Review***
In my previous post, I posted pictures of my new BUNN STX Specialty 10-cup Thermal Coffee Brewer. After doing much research (over the years) for a good home coffee maker, I am pleased to say that may have found the perfect one with BUNN.
First a little detail on why I love my new BUNN. It’s unique in that it brews your coffee at the perfect temperature. Unlike other home brewers, your coffee will come out piping hot and stay that way in the thermal carafe for up to two hours. I haven’t tested how my coffee tastes up to that time because I don’t think coffee should be sitting around for that long.
After your initial set up (explained in user guide), this is (see pic below) where you would pour your COLD water into. With the initial set up there is ALWAYS hot water available and this is what allows for a quick brew. BUNN claims that coffee is brewed in only 3 minutes, but I have not tested it out. I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m not that thorough.
After you pour your cold water into this reservoir and swing the lid back to proper position, the hot water begins to immediately permeate your coffee grounds.
In addition to the perfect brew temp, there is BUNN’s patented spray head. With this spray head the hot water doesn’t just leak out, but sprays every granule of coffee ground making sure that water is dispersed evenly.
Think of those spray water bottles. There are options on there for you to either squirt your water in a straight line or use the spray option, where water reaches a wider range of surface area.
What does this mean? It means that your coffee will not be burnt aka bitter tasting. This I really like!
It comes with a deep filter basket, using BUNN filters.
Some people have complained about having to keep the machine plugged in, but I actually find it more convenient. I get to have hot water whenever I want. It makes cooking and making teas easy because I don’t have to my annoying kettle.
Another complaint about this machine is that it does not have a heating tray at the bottom. I personally don’t think that your brewed coffee should be left to “cook,” so this doesn’t bother me. I actually like it better because it reduces the chances that I’ll get burned and I have been burned many times.
The thermal carafe does a nice job of keeping the coffee warm, which also makes sense to do away with the heated tray.
I just rinsed it out, so please excuse the water droplets.
Leng just waking up to Lulla crying her butt off. It’s like 5:30 AM. Do I look like I need coffee? You bet!
Yummy coffee!

Looking on their online menu, I was super excited to eat there. Everything sounded so delicious and appetizing! Here is their Vegetarian menu.
I ordered an Iced Chai, My sis had Thai tea. My Chai was just TAZO mixed with soymilk. Anyone can make it at home.
Tea Leaf Salad
Featured on Food Network
Yes, we really do go to Burma to get the tea for this salad, and it’s worth the trip. With textures from fried garlic, peanuts”
This was my least favorite. The description sounds all great and all, but the actual dish was sort of bitter for me. It may be because of the tea.
Okra Egg Curry*
Burmese style curry made with hard boiled eggs and okra
Ok, so when you see the word curry in the name, you think curry right? Well, I got tomato sauce. lol
Superstar Vegetarian Noodles*
Traditional Burmese noodles with tofu, cucumbers, potatoes, chili sauce, and cabbage. Served at room temperature
This was very… bland.
Dried Fried String Beans
Stir fried string beans, garlic, and chili sauce
The best vegetarian dish at the table. Although, I have made this exact dish at home before, so I don’t give them much credit.
Overall, the vegetarian food from a Southeast Asian girl’s perspective was not worth paying for. On the other hand, the meat and seafood dishes were praised at my table. I’d hate to end on a sour note so, I’ll give the restaurant the benefit of saying that not all of their food is bland and bitter tasting.
