Homemade Popcorn

Ingredients:

1 very large pot and a tight lid

enough oil to coat the entire bottom of the pot ~ 2-3 Tbsp.

1 cup of corn kernals

Heat the oil in the pot for a minute or so on high.

After one minute or two add 3-4 corn kernals into the pot. Coat all of kernals completely. Once these “test” kernals begin to pop, add the rest of the kernals. Make sure you coat every kernal by shaking the pot on and off of the flame.

You keep doing this until as much kernals pop. It will pop slowly then rapidly and then slowly again. Once the popping slows down almost completely turn off the heat.

Add salt or butter immediately after turning off the flame. Use a a wooden spoon to stir and coat the popped corn.

Enjoy!
