Loc Lac

1 package of Vege Gobo Tempura

1/2 a medium onion, sliced lengthwise

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 bunch of lettuce, washed and pulled a part

4-5 roma tomatoes, chopped about 1/2 inch thick

oil for cooking

Dipping sauce

Vegetarian fish sauce

2 limes

some water

green onions, sliced

s + p

2 peppers

On medium-high heat in a large skillet saute the onions and garlic until onions are translucent. Add Vege Gobo Tempura, stir. Salt and Pepper (s + p). Cook for about 10 minutes.

In a large plate, lay out the lettuce, top with tomatoes and cooked Vege Gobo Tempura mixture.

How to Eat–Use your hands!

Take a large leaf of lettuce in the palm of your hand place pieces of tomatoes and tvp. Wrap it up and dunk  into the limey dip.

Don’t forget the rice

    I am toying with the idea of vegetarianism and just happened upon your blog. Vegetarian Loc Lac – sounds delicious! You must be of Cambodian heritage I am guessing:)

      yes, I am Cambodian. Loc Lac has been something that I have always enjoyed. It’s like home cooked comfort food for me. Had to recreate it once I became a vegetarian. lol
