Spinach and Garlic

Spinach and Garlic

  • 1 bunch of Spinach
  • 2 t.  canola or peanut oil
  • 1/4 Onions, thinly sliced
  • 4-5 Garlic cloves, depending on how much garlic you like
  • 1-2 T. Sherry cooking wine
  • 1-2 t. soy sauce
  • black pepper to taste

on medium-high heat cook onions with oil until translucent

add garlic, stir for a few minutes (careful not to burn garlic, it will give off a bitter taste)

add spinach stir, lower heat to medium

then add soy sauce, cooking wine

cook until spinach leaves are slightly wilted. About 3-4 minutes. You want a bright green color.

The remainder heat from the dish will cook the spinach all the way through.

Serve right away.
